Multiple Xbox 360 Controller Issues

Im having trouble getting my pc to recognise multiple xbox 360 controllers with XP Pro SP2

I used to have Vista installed which was literally plug in and play so im a bit confused, as before i could run 4 pads!!!!

I have installed the drivers but still only one pad will work

in my Vista x64 and XP pro i use only 2 xbox 360 controllers, but I use XBCD drivers and not the original microsoft drivers...
