Metro 2033 (360 & PC)

Re: Metro 2033

10 hours is a normal amount for these games.

Don't mind it being linear, tbh the best games Ive played have been. Never played stalker but I find the problem with huge non linear games is that they are filled with generic settings, and that just bores me after a while. Admittedly I really like the whole post apocalypse setting anyway so am easily excited by it. As long as it has a good balance between tunnels and bigger locations it could be really good.

I only want to say ,great atmospheric and bast looking game on xbox, of course Metro has better graphics than K2.

You have to be kidding, the graphics on Killzone 2 are another level entirely compared to this. The textures look nice on Metro 2033, but it's no where near the standard of level design, lighting or variety of textures experienced in Killzone 2.

Just completed this game today.

Graphics/Sound
: Good graphics I'd say with good lighting and sound leading to very atmospheric conditions. The dialogue was good and the voices were genuine for a setting in Russia. Some really scary parts and the sense of isolation in the tunnels is the best I've experienced in a game. Superb.

Gameplay: this game was hard as nails on the standard/normal setting, which was incredibly frustrating at times and you often find yourself with very little bullets to take out the hordes of enemies and you will die very often. On the plus side this led to a very realistic experience though; the AI were smart and it took quite a few bullets to put them down for good.

Story: First half was fantastic, but it went a bit weird towards the end and to be honest by this stage I was that frustrated by the difficulty and lack of ammo I wanted the game to end. Original ending, I'll give it that, but weird nonetheless. Quite short if you decide to leave the side missions alone. Quite hard to follow at the start as the map marker was a little confusing.

Overall: 7.5/10 - Great game really, but I don't think I'll be keeping it. Definitely one I'll remember though.
