I was online and played a game until minute 70 then it disconnected me or the other player,i just scored the 2:0
had NO lags,not one on both sides of the halftime,great!
to be honest i expected those server problems,i think it's normal,everbody is registering his account and testing the server it can't work at once.

give the konami servers maybe a week or 2, they always were no good in the beginning...

i dont think there is a patch out yet, but there maybe in the future...

the servers are officially open. But i think there are still some maintainence going on along with the surge of people registering and going online, it just couldnt cope.
