Improve ONLINE performance (less red icon connection opponents)

Did setting up a static ip improve online pes connection performance on pc or ps3?

Thought I'd post my experience for the benefit of the pes online community. I recently did 2 things that resulted in more opponents with green or yellow connection icons instead of red icons and hence much improved responsiveness with little appearance of lag or delay
1) I switched from orange to o2 broadband
2) I set up a static ip using portforward.com

I'm guessing 2 is the reason for the improved online performance, this was on the pc version of pes2010 but may also work for ps3. Feel free to try this and post your findings. Thnx for Reading.

as far as im informed only with a static ip the port forwarding is enabled, so i wud say yes, static ip + port forwarding

disable software firewall/port forwarding

good mtu, not too big or delay..
