Well, after playing the demo until dead, im in love with it.

- The new dribbling system is deeper, and gives you much more possibilities than before (dribbling with Messi is a joy).
- the nets are great
- the shooting system seems more arcadeish, but then i realized that is more real(the super keepers are gone).
- there is a nice new set of tricks to pull (a well executed nutmeg against a friend has no price, like a good timed dive :))
- etc

Pes 2008 will be a great game, and is definitively an evolution over a very good pes 6. Some people needs to get over it.

(please no fifanboys, let us at least one thread clean ;) )

Keepers are bad as hell!

They make own goals all the time!

Freekicks are way way way to easy

I noticed if you don't force the keeper to do something he will do less errors. So let him to do his work in peace ;-) Don't pull him out for corners! :-) If he feels good he will take the cross ;-)

on corners or free kicks don't press the triangle button...

ive forgoted to mention, playing against the cpu (in top player of course) its fun!

the cpu cheats (i prefer to call it 'bad luck simulation' :lol:) are far less noticeable.

and in all the matchs i've played, i only received one own goal

The shooting is damn awful.....I would go as far as sayign that it is broke and totally UNREALISTIC....near impossible to lift the ball two feet of the ground......HORRIBLE.

I have hit quite a number of shots over the bar, not as many as in Pes6 but a few.

Yeah....messed up scuffed shots go over....but most of the time that a ball is struck clean...even with a lot of power on it....the ball remains below waist hieght...

For the most part....the ball will not lift of the ground...even the CPU goals all come from daisy cutters.... (or undefendable corners)

I cant say for sure, but I think with 9/10ths power on and pulling back just before u hit the ball seems to raise its height....scored my first top corner screamer by laying ball of and having 'Diego' of brazil run on it with full power (almost), release run button....pull back on D-Pad.....

Even if it turns out that it does work this way...its still shit....and totally unrealistic.

yeh i agree if the full game is like the demo then ill stick with pes 6 :)

i don't know whether you are really serious, but PES 2008 is incredibly wonderful, its graphics and all other sides are certainly superbly developed. THANKS KONAMI !!! btw before i bought a new display car , I also thought that the game sucked, but now i have an HD 2600 XT and all is great!!!

I firmly beleive that of the bugs will be ironed out before release, and demo's rarely mirror the finished product, I remember playing a demo for PES 5 or 6 and thinking it was god awful at the time, but low and behold, all turned out great. We can bash it all we like but we will know the truth in 3 weeks (or a bit less if you buy from play.com)

I personnally thought the demo shows great potential, yes it has it's issues, but I reckon it will turn out fine in the end. My worst fear has come true though, Mark Lawrenson in a video game, Jesus 'f***in' Christ.

You sound like you are basing the game on graphics, your a fool.
The game sucked I bought a new card now the graphics are great the game is great it is because of people like you who prefer graphics over gameplay why Konami are getting away with releasing the worse pro evo in history.
The graphics are the only improvment, but everything else is now much worse.

ok im aware running animations are very fast, the run like Sonic the hedge hog and that the demo lacks polish here and there, but hey, its a demo, and still its great and the full game will be better.

im sure that in one or two months lots of you will be changing your minds, every year its the same.

I think that gameplay have become A LOT MORE realistic than previous versions for sure. Shooting could be better for sure.
About keepers, I just can´t believe them. If you make a great shoot, most part of times they save it with a great save. Now, if you shoot a medium/strong shoot to their body, they actually helps you to make the goal. AND you can see when a pass is going in some direction inside the area, they go straight to the X mark, what makes that if you intercept that pass before, the goal stays empty for you to put the ball in from anywhere (don´t know if I splained my self well, sorry).
Anyway, PES2008 demo is actually THE BEST football simulator out (until full release for sure). I you want football, you can´t choose PES6, from now on there´s a new, MORE realistic simulator out..
There was a time when, to play PES well, you have to think PES. Now, to play PES well, you have to think football :applause:

You might have to think football when playing pes but shame the ai players on your team dont.
The player AI of runs is the worse i seen in pes.
And there is no such thing as a simulator you play for fun if you compare gamelay fifa is alot more true to real football than pro evo.

But the game sucks and pes is much more fun to play.

If "the game sucks" so bad, then why are you here? Also, I don't quite understand the last statement of your post. I assume that you are saying that FIFA "sucks" and that PES is "much more fun to play," but that is quite contradictory to your previous statements in which you state that your biggest gripes with PES are due to the fact that it is not close to what you consider realistic football. Then, you state that FIFA is more true to real football, but yet, in the end you say that PES is much more fun to play?

Sounds to me like you have some things that you should work out before you demean the work of others.

Well all I am saying is if I was a right winger and the right back had the ball and started moving forward, I wouldnt move in towards the centre - stop and then start picking my nose.
There are alot more realistic features in Fifa, but the game just dosnt feel good to play probably to scripted but you cannot say that PES is real and is a simulator.
The game was brilliant till 2008 and great fun to play, if they fix the errors in then final version like they have done before then the game I have no doubt will be fantastic like usual but they have made loads of errors in 2008 and they need to be sorted in the last month before release.

hey, in fact you are the biggest fool i have ever seen, it's my idea that all is great for PES 08. if you don't like the idea of playin' it, then go out of this site, and play fifa ,or shut your mouth up!

Yes, but have you.
Saying PES plays and feels realistic is a joke. If I played like the wingers on that game I wouldnt even get into a pub team for over 50's.

The player movement in PES 6 was much better and you could actually play down the wings down the centre and play with a variaty of different ways to score.

In PES 2008 i have found that due to the poor movement of players you cant play that many ways, I am sorry for being too negative but I feel that if they sorted out a couple of problems the game will be great.
And I am sure they will sort these out for the final release when it comes in a months time.
