hi, i have pes6 on pc, and err.. i'm not that good at it :(

i play on 3 star/regular. i find defending hard because whoever i'm playing against they are quicker and they always seem to have someone in the right place to pass to. also my defenders go right out of position e.g. riise ends up at right back and carragher is sometimes in midfield with alonso a lot deeper.

i find attacking ok, making a move is hard though because passing is slow and if there is two options it will pass to the one who's marked.

anyone who can give advice? thanks :D

try using the player change button(L1) as soon as he passes to someone... do not keep pressing X continuosly, wait for the right moment to tackle

Hi mate,

With defending, try not to go overboard with the pressure button as you might commit to a tackle whereby the attacker can easily skip past you.
Try tracking back and blocking the opponents passing direction to his other team mates. This means you shoudn't hang back to far (whereby he can easily pass to another mate or make a shot or pass and make a run), or too close where he can out run you. As you are tracking back you also have the option of calling for another defender to help out(Pressure 2).
For instance, that defender could try to tackle the ball off him whilst you block the attackers passing options.

Perhaps why you are finding that Alonso is playing deep is because you have his Defensive Mentality on low or normal, or you have positioned other than a DMF.
I play him on high Defensive, so he is always ready to defend, however he will go deep occasionally when I get him to make a run (pass, then press R2 -sorry, don't know PC keys) OR change my teams entire attack attitude to RED.

With attacking, it's sometimes about finding and making space. Using players to draw in other defenders will create passing options, which means you need to try to hold the ball well.

It's all to hard to explain, there is no one way of doing it. I guess a good idea is to try and watch more footy and see how they play and then adapt it to PES6 cos it's a damn good simulation!
