Help Me!!! My defending skills are the worst in Xbox live...

Hi all

I never understand how to defend in PES 2007. When I play against someone else on Xbox live there are ton of defenders at the back and always someone comes to steal my ball away not even the player himself (the computer actually comes and takes away the ball from me) they are faster and stronger for some reason.

When I press X my players never seem to run as fast as the opponent or do something good for the team..

So my defensive play is pretty bad I can never steal the ball and can never have a lot of players in my own half... I have been playing for a week now and I can never figure it out how to play a good defense.

Please give me some ideas, guide and so on...

My gametag is chocoroute.. You can add me and trash me online while teaching me..
I use manual controlling option to change my players (is it better to use semi-auto?)

I can lead my opponent by 3-nil and I end up losing because of my bloody defensive skills

I have a similar problem so might not be the best to give advice but never mind

I find that if you back off with the defender you are controlling and bring in another one to close him down its easier to defend and nick the ball away.

Switch to semi-auto, you can still manually control the player's closest to the ball. I never seem to have that many problem's when it come's to my defensive back line, you can edit the defender's mentality in the formation setting's, make them stay back and keep a strong line.

Hi there

I played one guy another day.. I won't be able to pass through his defense at all. All the time he got tons of players in his own half and running like a horse after me..

I have tried the Semi auto and it works better in term of defending, but can be confusing.... You can adjust the semi auto, but should I just fill up the semi auto all the way or just half way?
