Im really considering getting a wheel as racing games are what Im usually playing lately. However, I am a very casual player, planning on putting it on a basic desk, normal chair due to space constraints.
Debating a Moza R3 is worth it for very casual or just stick to controller.

No matter what wheel you buy, you won't regret it if you are interested in SIM racing in anyway.
Even for Simcade games like F1 and GT a wheel makes the game a million times more immersive.
And don't be put off to start when your lap times are slower, once you get used to the wheel after an hour or so you will be much faster than you ever were on a controller.

The Moza R3 has 3.9NM which should be fine for a direct drive wheel and seems very reasonably priced.

Personally I can't recommend a wheel enough, it completely changes your feeling/experience towards sim racing and pretty certain @PRO_TOO would agree.

It depends on the games you play. For a casual player, I'd only recommend a wheel for certain racing simulations. In most racing games, a controller is perfectly fine.

I used to think the same till I got a wheel and it is absolute night and day difference, the immersion and enjoyment is 1000% better with a wheel.

Yes, and I only use it for my hardcore racing sims. For everything else, I simply use my gamepad.

Think about where it may lead you. Table clamp setups are just the entry, but if you will never get a alu or tube rig, anything between 4-8nM should be fine.

Also depends on your budget. What about pedals? Shifter? What’s your screen solution…?

@bsmaff if I still was into arcades, a controller would still be ok-ish. But yeah, once you get a wheel, even for those games, it’s just more fun, imo.
Immersion comes into play when you decide to go racing sims, and then a wheel is a must have, imo.
And as you said, lap times will probably be slower first… once you get a hang, you’ll be faster.

So, @el niche let’s start with your budget… what do you want to spent?
