Firaxis as an example for Konami

Firaxis is the maker of the famous turn-base strategy game Civilization IV.
Today I read about an expansion they made pure on idea's and patches ( mods ) made by fans. The fans are, like the PES-fans on many forums, but mainly at the Civfanatics-forums: http://forums.civfanatics.com/
Why do I tell this?
At the forum of PESfan people exhaust themself to bring on suggestions and idea's, They even approve the popular ones to make those idea's for official suggestions, and sended those to Konami. This was a deal they made with Konami.

What happens after sending a year of approved idea's to Konami?

Nothing

As answer we get: (on the bad side )
A PES 2008 without improvements in the Master-League.
A PES 2008 without 2vs2 on-line gaming
A PES 2008 with only a few graphical improvements

(on the good side )
A great editor
Diving ( However, is that what we really wanted? )
TeamVision ( this is what I really like )
But is all this really worth to name it a full new PES or is it only a big patch?
What in general has changed in gameplay? Yes, Teamvision, but that is not much for a new PES...
Can we point to approved idea's which Konami really used from the PESFan-members?

That's why I ask Konami to take Firaxis as an example.
At PESfan and overhere we make patches as well, just like the fans of Civilization.
Idea's are also send Konami, we even let the idea's filter by approvement!
Just talk to Firaxis, Konami! That will help you to cope with the wishes and idea's from your customers...
