But judging by on this seasons performances I would suggest that Carragher is one of the best. I retract my statement about saying he was by far the best. I personally think that Ferdinand is over rated and Terry hasn’t a good season by any stretch of the imagination, that was culminated in his horrific miss yesterday, must off been all of three yards out.

Yeah Terry has definitely regressed over the last 3 or so seasons, since those back injuries a few years ago really. Personally I dont think he's that good at all anymore and you could argue that Alex and Carvalho are both better defenders than him but then Terry's got that sort of intimidating side to him which makes him a good captain and a defender that forwards don't like coming up against.
And I don't know how you can think Rio is overrated, as I posted earlier in the thread, if anything he's underrated. Most people still see him as a lazy centre half who makes loads of mistakes and uses his pace to recover and misses drug tests cos he's on coke, thanks to that lovely stereotype the media painted of him that most people seem to follow. I won't write it all out again but he's been getting better and better, year on year and last season he was absolutely outstanding, and integral to United winning the double.
This season he's been injured so it's hard to compare him to Vida and Carra but there's plenty of other CB's who've been great in the Premier League...
