List of players that should be moved from their respective national teams into the free transfer team, obviously this has to be done before starting a manager mode game to have them appear in manager mode.

To transfer the players go to team management, transfers, club transfers, search by name, search for the player then transfer them into the team entitled "free transfers".

To be fair I just stole it all from the EA forums, but I did some serious copying and pasting and such ;)

Apparently Maarten Stekelenburg should have replaced Van der Sar as he's retired, but Maarten Stekelenburg is injured so Van der Sar has come out of retirement for the two world cup qualifiers this month.
 
Is Holland the only national side with fake players?


Also, am i able to change the numbers on their shirts, once assigned, coz they are all wrong!

As I understand it no, but if you save the free transferred roster to something like "Manager", then go online and force the "default" roster to be downloaded again save that to Default and you have your two separate rosters. Alternatively just save a copy before you do the free transfer transfers.
 
Hmmm ok, i thought there was a international squad selection screen aswell though? so you could sort the national team as is.

So what exactly do I do with the Dutch squad? I call up the real players, but then the fake players go in the free transfers? Is there no way of deleting them?

And you said about putting tons of players on free transfers, do these players get signed by all the clubs so by the end of the first window, all the top teams have signed those players on a free?

I guess that's the dilemma, not sure if there's anything you can do to not have the fake players seep into the game itself.

Well supposedly AI teams will sign up free transfers, but it seems that a lot of stuff we were told about Fifa09 is turning out to be wrong, like early on we were told yes there's night matches in midweek, and no there isn't, we were told no there's no playoffs, and yes there is, very confusing.

That's sorted then, i'll have a go at editing it tonight and adding them back into International squads, hopefully won't affect it too much - these players need to be in the Manager mode! I don't fancy having two different roster saves, it'd be too much waffing around.
 
Wont these changes all be wiped out when Live Season updates?

And how do I do the changes and save to a different roster save? After updating the Dutch team, I only get the option to overwrite "Squad 1" and not save a different file?
 
Definately don't mate. I'm going through International Squad Selection, updated the Dutch team and I only get "Do you want to overwrite the saved data?" and yes or no, that's it. No other way of saving it.
 
That's annoying, and you can't edit hair style etc. and Mikel looks so stupid I won't even play him (with the mullet)
 
Placebo can you edit your BAP players appearance after you have started

Im sure you could do it on EURO
