England Expects

Ashley Cole and Shaun Wright-Phillips will be devastating wing-backs, whose surging runs will leave Italians crying into their capuccinos and Germans blubbing in their bratwursts.

HAHAHAHA

Whoever wrote that needs shooting.

Hardly any of those players at the time were showing any signs of being world beaters.

Even J.Cole was a late developer. I think we all expected SWP to go to strength to strength, but then along came Chelsea who wasted half our Up and coming talent (Parker, Bridge etc)

And dear Lord Neil Mellor?

Granted he was scoring goals for fun in our reserve teaam but it was another year before he even got a run of games in the first team. He scored some vital goals but hardly enough to proclaim he will be shaking the boots of defenders across the globe.

And what are Liverpool bringing to the party, Peter? You're doing your bit for the Spanish 2nd XI, I'll give you that though....

this is not chelsea fault if these players don't/didn't get game.
If these players were good enough they would play, just look at the likes of Terry,J.Cole,Lamps...
You are surely one of these guys who only blame chelsea for Scheva Downfall..

Thats the point, they weren't good enough at the time for Chelsea so they shouldn't have gone to Chelsea.

Stay at their clubs and improve.

Firstly Liverpool brought through two of England finest players in recent years and secondly, no other club other than Chelsea had the silly money to buy talented young english players.
