I am doing driving lessons again and am seriously considering a driving job - I am SICK of I.T. work, it's just not me. Anyone know of good driving work that pays well?

You could become a driving instructor after a couple of years?

Good idea that. I found out today (from a taxi driver) that if you are claiming JSA (dole) then the job centre pay for your training/exams etc. I might wait for my I.T. contract to end and get into that.

My dad used to be an instructor and its a v stressful job apparently. Its potentially a life threatening career.

ive taught 3 people how 2 drive and i agree 100%. its maximum stress just being in the car with a a newbie.

Not many companies let u drive unless ur 25 or over for insurance purposes and maybe not at all with R plates

Yeah it was in his younger days, heard some frightening stories of what happend. He actually got sick through depression or something a long time ago. He says its just totally not worth it.

Pretty sure you have to be on the dole for 6 months before you're eligible for a scheme or course, I used to do that when I was in England, do some temp work for 6-12 months, go on the dole for 6 months, do a course, do some more temp work, go on the dole, ad infinitum, fortunately I got the BIS job to escape the monotony and tedium of the Grimsby job market ;)

BIS = Bohemia Interactive Studio, game developer I went to work for in the Czech Republic for 3 years and now work for externally from Singapore :)

I thought you said you didn't work?
