custom cups and leagues

I know you can go to Community to create custom cups, like the Konami Cup. But can you create custom leagues also ? And can you use these created competitions OFFLINE, against the cpu, or can you only use them online against other users ? ( I'm using the PS3 ).

I had a quick look through this the other day mate. You can create a custom cup OR league. And you can play it offline. So if I have myself and 3 mates, we can all play in a league or cup together in the same room (OFFLINE). I assume you can select more teams and have them controlled by the PS3. So a custom league of 8 teams but 4 are controlled by the PS3 and the other 4are assigned to you and your friends. I haven't tried it yet but I THINK this is how it works?
