co-op on xbox live

Hey guys, sorry if this is a foolish question/has been asked before, but I just bought this game for the 360 (and have been shocked about how lazy konami has been..... NO TRANSFER OPTIONS???) but I was trying to figure out how to play 2 player co-op on the same system on xbox live until I just gave up in frustration... It says on the back of the box you can do this, does anyone have any idea how? Thanks for the help.
