Career Mode suggestions thread

If you have any suggestions for Career Mode, post them here. It will have to be for Fifa 15. A few here.

Club Contracts

1. In Career Mode when you join a club, have the ability to sign a contract on a specific length i.e. a 4 year contract instead of having to resign with the club at the end of every season.

Upgrades/Club Development

1. Have an option to upgrade your clubs stadium, providing you have the necessary funds. This could even be done automatically via your interaction with the board once your club reaches a certain level of prestige and success because in real life it isn’t the manager’s responsibility to change a clubs stadium.

2. Build relationships with clubs. Like what Madrid and Spurs have, you can gain a relationship with a club. Say I'm Spurs, I create a relationship with Southend, and I send them our young players on loan. And we get first referall for their players. This can work with any team.

Fans/Crowd

1. Have dynamic crowd attendances, so the amount of fans you see in the stadium changes. So if your club is doing very well i.e. challenging for the top 4 or winning titles then you’re much more likely to see a packed out stadium, but if you’re struggling season after season then it will be much more empty.

2. Make it possible for the fans in the crowd to hold banners calling for you to be sacked i.e. "MANGERS NAME OUT". This would happen in such instances like you consistently made poor team selections, played badly and are struggling in the league.

3. Fan favourite players - Certain players should become "fan favorites". For example: if a player is a team leading goal scorer or league clean sheet leader, etc., then fans should hang banners with his name/number on them. More importantly, if you sell/loan these players then fan appreciation should drop.

4. Make it so the crowd are fully aware of highly important matches for your club such as local derby’s and promotion or relegation deciders. By this, the fans will go wild and jump off their seats if your team scores a crucial winner or equalizer in these important matches.

Commentary

1. Have the commentators say your manager's surname if your name is in the commentary database. So for example, if you got off to a slow start at your new club they'd say something like "Hudson has had a tough time adapting to life as Watford manager and has come under a lot of pressure, but he'll be hoping for a good result here".

2. The commentators should be fully aware of the situation in two leg cup ties. So if for example, you’re playing in the European Cup quarter final and the away team are losing 1-0 in the 2nd leg after drawing the 1st leg 0-0 at home, the commentators will talk about how the tie is on a knife edge and that one goal will see the away team through to the semi final.

3. The commentators should be aware of a clubs progression from previous seasons. So if for example you take a team from the conference league and gain successive promotions they will talk about this.

4. The commentators should be aware of your clubs current season progression and achievements. So if for example you won at Old Trafford the previous week they’ll mention that win and say what a great result it was and how you’re hoping to build on that result. Sometimes they’ll also talk about specific goals, like if a certain player on your team scored a wonder goal earlier in the season against the club you’re playing against the commentators will talk about it.

In Match Audio

To build upon the audio match updates which were in Fifa 13, in situations such as relegation deciders, after the person announces a goal scored in another match towards the end of the table, the commentator could then say how the goal affects your team and talk about how the relegation battle is currently poised. This would make it feel like the commentators are immersed in the drama of your season and make matches feel like there’s a lot at stake.

Awards

1. Goal of the season/Goal of the month. These would be selected from both your matches and CPU vs CPU matches and be shown in a MOTD style presentation. This would make Career Mode more fun and immersive as you'd be aiming to score great goals to win the awards.

The game would calculate how good a goal is by taking into account everything from the distance from goal the goal was scored at, the tightness of the angle, the technique used for the shot, the amount of build-up play, etc...

2. Football Awards. Have authentic real life football awards such as the Ballon d’Or, FIFA Player Of The Year and PFA Player of the Year award.

Players

1. League Arm Badges - Change the players League arm badges upon promotion/relegation.

2. Star players or fans will come to you with suggestions of players to buy .

3. Provide feedback and details given about players out on loan, so you can track their progress.

4. Youth Players should grow in height and improve in other stats not just the ones the scout says they will be good at.

5. Winter attire option, so they wear gloves when it snows/undershirts when it is cold.

6. Special final/big game goal celebrations - such as Aguero taking his shirt off against QPR on the final day of the season.

CPU Match Sim Engine

To make leagues such as the Premiership more challenging to win, CPU teams should be aware of the current league standings which increases the likelyhood of title challenging teams going on a winning streak in attempt to match or better your teams form. This would utilize a results based system which intelligently analyzes the current league standings and your results to create a compelling and competitive title race.

Stats/Team Management

1. Manager History - In 'Manager History' have the results and League tables from previous seasons in your career viewable. So highlighting a season on the list then pressing X will show both these options.

2. "B" Team - An option to have a "B" team so you can have a different line-up for Cup matches or lower priority League matches without having to make a lot of changes to your main team line-up rotating players each time.

3. Global Stats - Have the option to view results, tables and stats from leagues around the world.

4. CPU squad selection should be more realistic for less important competitions such as the Capital One Cup. So Premiership teams such as Man Utd and Arsenal will put out their second string team, not their first team. However, in the latter stages of the competition such as the Semi Final or Final they would more likely field a stronger team than in the earlier rounds.

HUB

1. In the post match newspaper report, for big matches such as a Cup Final show a photo of the winning goal with a headline which relates well to the match.

Editing/Customization

1. Have the option to edit the name of unlicensed tournaments such as the Champions Cup and League Cup.

2. An option to assign custom audio to specific tournaments. So for example you could assign the Champions League theme music to play at the start of Champions Cup matches.

Training

In-depth training sessions. These scheduled weekly training sessions at a training centre will allow your team to practice a wide variety of football skills such as dribbling around cones, practicing free kicks against a dummy wall, short play games against a team of reserves, penalties, playing practice matches, etc...

On training days, there might be a risk of players picking up injuries.

Trophies

1. Trophy Room. Have a trophy room which shows your clubs silverware in a trophy cabinet in photo realistic graphics. You can zoom in or out or rotate the view using your analogue stick. This would bring a greater sense of achievement to winning trophies in Career Mode.

2. Trophy Celebration. Have realistic trophy celebrations upon winning the league or cup, showing the captain lifting the trophy and players collecting their winner’s medals. The top leagues like the Premiership, La Liga, Bundesliga can have authentic trophy presentations which show the real presentation backdrop which displays the name of the league.

Multi-player Career Mode

1. Allow a Career Mode to be created with up to 4 human controlled clubs. Each user would have their own HUB which is password protected (optionally) so no one else can make transfers, etc.. for other clubs aside from their own. This feature would take Career mode to new heights because you would be competing against humans also and not just against the CPU.
