Whats up guys,

Ya'll know Ronaldo. You all know probably know the art of street football too. Here's a little video that combines them both into one. Why? Because it's never been done before. :) But hopefully it'll all make sense if you pay close attention to the music and its message. :)

All opinions welcome. Thanks.

i don't think c.ronaldo completely fits the "art of street football" since there are better street players then him with more tricks and can't really play football that well on the pitch, its like comparing water to wine ronaldo has the taste of football. good compilation though

thanks,

i don't rally think Ronaldo fits in either but this video is about mixing two whole different things. thats the point. :)

As good a dribler as Ronaldo is, he is still actually completely rubbish when compared to say George Best.

George Best could go past players with perfect timing, change of direction, dozens of tricks and movement and he did it against players like Norman Hunter trying to shop him in two.

How many times do we see Ronaldo fo all the tricks run into blind alleys or do four step overs and get past no more than one man?

I have a compilation of George Best that makes all of the Ronaldo compilations and Ronaldo look average.

As for all the street footballers, I don't rate any of them whatsoever. No one is trying to seriously tackle them who has serious defensive ability....I see the skills as largely pointless posturing and showboating that could never be performed on a pitch in real conditions.

That's my take on it....

That's my take on it....

compilations dont mean anything, you could do a compilation of all the chances pele missed, or games maradona went missing or a compilation of nothing but henry pouting his way thru every big game arsenal played...

it doesnt take away from the quality of the player...

anyway comparing any player to "one of the best ever" is unfair to say the least..

I've got family who watched bestie play in the flesh, and they say Ronaldo is very similar...

Ronaldo is a potential world beater and ive seen him run teams ragged, the amount of times he muggs someone off that doesnt get shown on the highlights is criminal.

and theres plenty of times we've all looked at each other with the "how the fuck did he do that" expression...

He didn't play a single decent CL game.

players like Zidane didnt do that well in the CL until towards the end of his career...

he's got a long way to go granted, he's still young, he had his best season last year, his improvment in the CL will come...

anyway what about the 1/4 V Roma, two goals one assist, not bad...

I don't agree with all that you have said, the Ronaldo being similar for instance as I do not think he is and I do not think he is anywhere near as good. But you are entitled to your opinion and you could be right....everything else you said though makes a lot of sense to me and I agree with it. I hope I do not sound patronising as I do not mean to be...just wanted to say that was a bloody good post mate.

Fair enuff fella,...

As I said only family members and people who sit around me at OT who actually watched the great man play say Ronaldo is similar...

And by that they could mean the expectation for him to do something amazing on the pitch or the way over 70K people jump up when he gets the ball..

Whether he will be thought of in the same way in 50 years is yet to be seen....

I personally hope so...

but doubt it....

I didn't mean Ronaldo isn't a excellent player and fantastic prospect either by the way...he is both. I was just trying to use language to elevate Best in comparative terms.
