Supporter Group (Carsi)

Besiktas the Group Carsi is the best known supporter group of BJK history. They locate themselves on Covered Stand in the football matches and known for their expressed common views on up-to-date topics, organized way of acting, and genuine manner of chanting.

There are lots of catch-phrases of the group, "Carsi is against everything!" being probably the most famous one.

In May 2008, Carsi repealed themselves unexpectedly.
However, the post-epilogue discussions are still continuing due to intellectual conflict between the supporters.

The match at the Beşiktaş Inonu Stadium was refereed by Özgür Yankaya. To the delight of their cheering fans, the Eagles played a high-intensity, tight-marking football from the opening kickoff and allowed the visitors very little time on the ball. After a 17th- minute strike by Quaresma, who caused havoc in the visitors’ defence all night, came off the post, the Black and White threatened to score on numerous occasions but failed to find net. The first half drew to close goalless.

Beşiktaş continued to press after the restart and got their reward 10 minutes later when Brazilian striker Bobo finished off Ernst’s spectacular pass to put his side a goal up. As the half progressed, the Eagles piled on the pressure in search of a second, but their passion for another goal also left their defence unattended. Antalyaspor’s speedy forward Tita took advantage of this situation as he broke free on 68 minutes and levelled the scores. With the time running out, Beşiktaş German Manager Schuster played his last cards and brought on forwards Nobre and Holosko for Aurelio and Tabata in a desperate move to regain the lead. His timely substitutions paid off big as they pinned Antalyaspor into their own half for the remaining minutes. While the visitors were having great difficulty to clear the ball away from their danger zone, the man-of-the match Bobo answered the call once again and restored the Eagle’s advantage with a last minute winner from just inside the box that sent the home crowd into frenzy. The win raised Beşiktaş’s point tally to 13 after six outings.

Beşiktaş JK came from behind against SK Rapid Wien to make it two wins in two UEFA Europa League Group L games.
The Turkish side had not beaten Rapid in three previous trips to the Austrian capital but redressed that statistic in front of a sell-out crowd at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion. Following a goalless first half the game burst to life when Veli Kavlak curled in an opener, but two strikes in ten minutes from Filip Hološko and Bobô were enough to break the Vienna hoodoo.
The initial signs had suggested more disappointment. The game was barely half an hour in when the dangerous Ricardo Quaresma, who had earlier rattled the upright, was forced off after colliding with goalkeeper Raimund Hedl. Roberto Hilbert also came off second best against Hedl, who kept out his vicious swerving volley from distance.
Rapid had offered little, but Yasin Pehlivan started the second period with much-needed vigour. Not long after sending Atdhe Nuhiu through on goal he delivered a deft, defence-splitting pass to Kavlak who, showing great composure as he cut inside onto his right foot, curled a shot in off the post.
The stadium erupted, but Beşiktaş were soon level when Hedl spilled a long pass from Fabian Ernst. Quaresma's replacement, Hološko, was on hand to tuck the ball home from a tight angle. The Slovakia forward rattled the crossbar soon after and also forced Hedl into another save – but the home side's luck did not last long.
Rodrigo Tabata conjured the winner, putting Bobô clean through and the Brazilian guided a slide-rule finish past the exposed Hedl, low into the left corner. Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink came closest as Rapid tried to salvage a point, his powerful close-range header somehow clawed away by Hakan Arıkan. Yet the effort was in vain.

The Black Eagles lost 1-0 away to Trabzonspor at Hüseyin Avni Eker Stadium on Day 7 of the Turkish Super League.

The home team started off to the better side and had the first clear-cut opportunity of the game through Teolfilo on 11 minutes, but Beşiktaş keeper Hakan Arıkan pulled off a brilliant save to prevent him from scoring. Using Yattara’s quick runs from the left intended for the striker Teofilo, Trabzonspor dominated the first 20 minutes, but a Zapotocny marshalled Beşiktaş defence ensured that the score remained intact. As the half proceeded, the Black and White, led by Hilbert, began to find their feet and even hit the post in the closing stages, only to see the first 45 minutes end in a goalless draw.

The Eagles carried their attacking mode into the second half as a Holosko header off Tabata’s free-kick went inches wide at the outset. After two ensuing crosses produced no goals, defender Mustafa Yumlu put the home side ahead with a header from a free-kick on 50 minutes. In search of a quick equaliser, Beşiktaş brought on the extra striker Bobo for Ernst but still could not penetrate the Trabzonspor’s solid defensive wall. The remaining minutes saw the Black and White throwing everything to salvage the match, but Trabzonspor successfully fended off their visitors’ all attempts to run out 1-0 victors.

"Coming into this game, we knew it wasn’t going to be an easy game. Trabzonspor is always a formidable side to play against on their home turf. Taking our last Thursday’s away Europa League match into account, I must admit we had a tough week. My players looked a bit tired out there and had trouble getting organised. Nevertheless, we had our chances at both halves but could not finish them off. From my point of view, both teams played evenly and deserved a point. After falling a goal behind, we kept pressing for the equaliser and asserted our authority, but this time we came up empty handed. This result is not going to divert us from our objectives. Our fans should not get demoralised; we’ll make up for this loss in the weeks to come."
 
7 Eagles Called Up for the National Team

The Turkish International squad, which is going to play two crucial away matches against Germany and Azerbaijan in UEFA EURO 2012 group qualifiers is announced today.

The Manager Guus Hiddink has invited 7 Beşiktaş players, which includes Hakan Arıkan, Cenk Gönen, İbrahim Toraman, İsmail Köybaşı, Mehmet Aurelio, Necip Uysal and Nihat Kahveci, to wear the national jersey.

According to a list issued by the Turkish Football Federation, here are the players selected for the Turkish national squad and their teams:

Hakan Balta will probably play the last NT matches of his career which is a matter I also highly hope. Squad is generally nice and will get much nicer the more Hiddink gets how the things work here.

Yeah,Kasimpasa dont have any win this year and we couldnt beat them at home,honestly they were beating us,i dont know whats going on really,terrible start to the season and still continue,4 lost and 2 draw after 11 games, maybe Mr Schuster is not the right guy,i really dont know..

Schuster, what a player that guy was.

I don't watch a lot of the Turkish football, did take in the Trabzonspor game against Kayaspor (something like that) and they didn't look too great themselves, and having witnessed the current champions Bursaspor is Turkish football in decline? Even the International team is really poor at the moment.

In Scotland our own game is slagged off as being poor, but having witnessed Rangers absolutely dominate the Turkish champions was wondering how the league was faring itself.

And that looks to be half decent names in that Besiktas squad.

Its the first time for Bursa to play in europe,they didnt play in Uefa cup before also,so i cant say much about them,we lost again yesterday against 2nd leauge team on Turkish cup leauge group match..things are going worst and worst...

Bernd Schuster's side are assured of their place in the round of 32 after a victory which ended their opponents' chances.

Beşiktaş JK beat PFC CSKA Sofia 2-1 to book a place in the UEFA Europa League round of 32 and end their opponents' hopes of qualifying.

Bernd Schuster's side knew victory would assure them of a top-two berth in Group L and always looked capable of going up a gear if goals were not forthcoming. They were after half-time, though, Tomáš Zápotočný and Filip Hološko doing the damage to leave CSKA bottom of the section despite Cillian Sheridan's consolation four minutes after entering the fray.

Beşiktaş's Matchday 1 win came via Fabian Ernst's header and the German midfielder had an early chance to pick up in Sofia from where he left off in Istanbul, Raïs M'Bolhi turning his shot behind with minimum fuss. Though the dominant visitors' patience was understandable, their hosts' looked to be wearing thin.

Restricted to only a speculative Alexandar Tonev strike until the half's penultimate minute, Sasho Hristov's side then spurned as clear an opportunity as any that had gone before. Spas Delev, having shown a clean pair of heels to the Beşiktaş defence, should have at least tested Cenk Gönen. With half-time in sight, he was finally forced into action to repel Michel's fierce strike.

CSKA failed to take any momentum into the second half, however, and found themselves facing a greater struggle just before the hour, Zápotočný's free header leaving M'Bolhi with no chance. The home custodian looked to have the odds equally stacked against him soon after but somehow tipped Ali Küçik's drive over.

M'Bolhi's fortunes soon took a turn for worse when he slipped while in possession and Hološko stroked into the empty net for a decisive second. Sheridan came off the bench and scored a copycat of Zápotočny's opener but it was not enough.

Anyway 2 great game in 1 week,first beating Galasaray 2-1 on away and then same score to CSKA in Bulgaria tonight,things seems going well in these days,Schuster already announced tonight that we got M.Fernandez,lets see who will be the other transfer,if we got good striker then maybe we can have some chance to pass more rounds in Uefa Cup..

Benfica

Fernandes grew up in the Lisbon suburb of Amadora, where he would regularly play Street football with future Sporting Clube de Portugal and Manchester United winger Nani as a child. Subsequently, he joined S.L. Benfica's youth system and made his first team debut during the 2003–04 season, under coach José Antonio Camacho, making an immediate impression on both Camacho and the club's supporters, became the Reds' second youngest ever goalscorer in only his second game, a 2–1 win at Gil Vicente FC.

Fernandes became a regular first-team in 2004–05, often partnering established Petit in central midfield, under the guidance of Italian manager Giovanni Trapattoni. He helped Benfica win the league title after an 11-year drought, missing just five league games and scoring in a 20 win at Vitória de Setúbal, on 19 March 2005. He also made seven appearances in the season's UEFA Cup, in an eventual round-of-32 elimination at the hands of eventual winners PFC CSKA Moscow.

During the 2005–06 pre-season, Fernandes underwent surgery in Munich due to an inguinal hernia. He was treated by specialist Ulrike Muschaweck. In the season's UEFA Champions League, he scored the equalising goal in a draw at Villarreal CF in the group stage, with Benfica again only being ousted by the eventual champions, in this case FC Barcelona in the quarterfinals.

England

In the 2006 summer, Fernandes signed for Portsmouth of the Premier League on loan, with a deal agreed for a permanent transfer of approximately £7 million if he fully recovered from his groin injury. A transfer was first proposed in late July, but could not be concluded as the player was still suffering from the injury, failing his medical at the club twice. In an unusual move, Benfica allowed the player to be treated at Portsmouth in the hope that he would regain fitness before the 1 September transfer deadline. After five weeks at the club, it was projected that he still needed two months recovery and so, the initial loan deal with a future fee was agreed.

Fernandes made his Portsmouth debut in the League Cup away to Mansfield Town, scoring from outside the area after just five minutes in a 2–1 win. He went on to make sporadic appearances for the club throughout the first half of the season, with Sean Davis and countryman Pedro Mendes the preferred midfield pairing. It was later revealed by Pompey manager Harry Redknapp that if Fernandes were to make three consecutive appearances, it would trigger a clause in which Portsmouth were obligated to sign the player for £12m. Because of the high transfer fee, Portsmouth revealed in December that unless Benfica were to compromise on the fee they would not make the transfer permanent. Fernandes returned to Benfica in the winter transfer window.

In January 2007, Fernandes returned to England, joining Everton on loan until the end of the season. He also signed a long-term contract with Benfica in January 2007. The deal was complicated due to Fernandes being part-owned by a third party agency, but he eventually made an assured debut for his new club in the 1–0 win over Blackburn Rovers on February 10, and quickly became something of a fans' favourite at Goodison Park. He scored his first league goal for the club on 24 February against Watford. On 28 April, he added another, against league leaders Manchester United. The goal, although spectacular, was not enough as Manchester United would go on to score four times in the final half hour of the game, winning 4–2.

With Everton manager David Moyes reluctant to pay Benfica's reported £12 million asking price, Fernandes returned to Benfica in the summer, where he had several good performances during the pre-season. On 8 August 2007, it was reported that Everton had made an offer of £6 million for the player. On the 13th, it was confirmed by both clubs that the player was the subject of an acceptable bid from the English side, believed to be £6 million for Benfica's 50% share in the player, with Everton having to negotiate with Global Sports Investment for the other half his playing rights. Later reports indicated Everton were willing to pay £12 million for 100% of the rights.

On 14 August, it was reported that Fernandes had flown to the Merseyside to complete the deal after being left out of the squad in Benfica's game, and he attended Everton's match against Blackburn on the 25th. Adding to the fact the player's rights were partly owned by an agency, the Premier League did not agree to the transfer as Everton would only half-own the player's contract. Everton were not too happy about this as the league had previously let Carlos Tévez and Javier Mascherano move to other clubs under the same agreements.

However, in a late twist on 26 August, Fernandes opted to sign a six-year contract for La Liga side Valencia CF, in a deal worth up to €18 million (£12.2 million) to Benfica. The deal included a €60 million buy-out clause.

Fernandes made his debut as a substitute during a 2–1 away win against UD Almería on 2 September 2007, and ended his first season with seven league appearances, five in the starting XI. In January 2008, he was loaned back to Everton until the end of the season, with the club having the option to sign him permanently. During his five-month spell, he went scoreless in 13 official appearances, 12 of those in the league.

Back at Valencia for the 2008–09 season, new Valencia coach Unai Emery declared Fernandes as part of his plans. He came from the bench in the first league match, a 3–0 home win against RCD Mallorca. On 5 October 2008, he scored the only goal in a win at Real Valladolid, his first with the club; overall, during his first full campaign, he complemented well with veterans David Albelda and Rubén Baraja, amassing league totals of 27 games and 1,718 minutes, but also sustained a fibula injury against Getafe CF in April 2009 which curtailed his season, even though he played the entire match.

In January 2010, Fernandes was expected to sign on loan with F.C. Internazionale Milano due to lack of opportunities at Valencia, with the Nerazzurri having the right to buy off his contract at the end of the season. However, he failed his medical exams on the 30th, cancelling the deal. He was also linked with a return to Portsmouth in the same transfer window, but that move fell through after paperwork failed to clear in time.

After the Eagles’s 2-1 win away to CSKA Sofia, Beşiktaş Boss Bernd Schuster shared his thoughts with the press:

“It was a fairly even game. We wanted to come out of here with a win to book ourselves a ticket to the next round without waiting the outcome of the final match. Two back-to-back goals, scored right on time in the second half, helped us dominate down the stretch.

I’d like to make one thing clear. We did not change our game plan in the second half, but we looked more active and determined upfront. Some of our forwards performed like they were at sea in the first half. I had a few words with them at the intermission, and they started playing the way they were supposed to in the second half. And that’s how we got those goals.

Guti had another great game tonight. He orchestrated the team with his precision passes, especially in the second half. He definitely played a major role in our win. In one word, he showed his class to us once again tonight. Besides him, young Ali Kuçik also looked brilliant out there. While he was on, he kept the CSKA defence on their toes. We are trying to give our young players as much playing time as possible this season. It pleases me to see the players from our U18 team performing so well at this high level. They get massive experience from these types of matches.”

One of the headlines is funny,the Bursaspor supporters group name is Texas and on newspaper it says "Holosko is the Texas Sheriff" the others are not something is important like "eagles are flying,eagles are happy etc.."

You guys are crazy! safe your money and buy other players. Simão is crap nowadays and Fernandes isn't everything but good. Almeida is decent though.

man, our teams are under the control of their stupid managers. I don't care about it so much but names are the most important thing in transfers they think (money, money, money), they are such stupid that couldn't understand that if the players are bad you can not earn anything from league or euro tournaments. the fact that almost all the foreign transfers in STSL are getting injured (they're known for them being injury prones world-wide but our boys is not able to see that) or having attitude problems. most probably the only reason a euro club would sell their well-known players to us for. FUUCCCCKKKKKKKKK!!
