So i always had this problem of wanting to play individual matches and getting frustrated with not getting an interesting enough matchup and always using the same 5-10 teams every time (PES 5 for example, i just play with Inter, Arsenal, Westfalen, Czechia, England or Brazil). So today i entered ChatGPT, and then i had the idea: why not use AI to write scenarios for me? That way i can avoid being stuck in max. 15 teams, and playing with more teams, finding a potential great ML squad to begin my career, and even using this in every game, like PES 5 or even EAFC 25 (to add some fun that's been lacking ).
I firstly used Winning Eleven 2009-10, the patch made by benga0800. You could try absolutely EVERY sports game, just modify the prompt.
It was the game i was playing, and being not able to escape the same teams, and then i entered GPT, and asked it - Create and write about 15 fictional scenarios to play in the 2009-10 season, in Winning Eleven 2009-10, using not only big teams, but smaller ones, and giving context (without regard to the real 2009-10 season.)
And then it gave me 15 matches with different scenarios, such as Germany x Italy in a hypothetical 2010 World Cup semifinal (which i led they to the "final" with a Ballack FK in the last minutes), or an Portsmouth x Lazio UEL final! (which i lost 3-2...) I still didn't play the other 13, like Chelsea x Ajax or Tottenham x Zenit, but i will update y'all when i play these.
Pros
Good "tool" to use when our imagination fails
Fun as hell to see the alternate world the AI made up just for a soccer videogame
It can be used in EVERY sports videogame
Cons
Sometimes the AI just don't know the teamlist for the patch/game you're playing (in one of the early prompts i made, it suggested i play a Sligo Rovers x Bohemians fixture. In WE9 Liveware Evolution.)
