player ratings

Hi all, Help please with a question, when I put players in my dream team, players reduce their rating by 2 points, last season in e football 23m they increased by 2, is this correct?? Also my dream team efootball 23 has taken a right battering in ratings in efootball 2024 Many thanks Mike
